How to File a DMCA Takedown on Rumble

Rumble's growth has brought a familiar problem with it: channels stuffed with other creators' videos, full re-uploads, clipped copies, and monetized rips lifted from YouTube and elsewhere. Unlike most large platforms, Rumble doesn't use a takedown web form; it asks rights holders to send a written DMCA notice to its designated copyright agent. This guide shows you how to do that correctly.

Before you start

  • Proof of ownership, a link to your original upload (your channel on any platform or your website) with a date that predates the copy.
  • The URL of every infringing Rumble video. Copy each video's address from the browser; if one channel has ripped your whole library, list every video.
  • Your contact details, full name, mailing address, phone number, and email.
  • A little patience: email-based processes leave less of a paper trail than web forms, so you'll want to keep organized records yourself.

Step 1: Open Rumble's DMCA page and note the agent's details

Go to https://rumble.com/s/dmca. The page names Rumble's designated copyright agent and lists the agent's email address and mailing address, Rumble Canada Inc., 218 Adelaide Street West, Suite 400, Toronto, Ontario, M5H 1W7. Use the contact details exactly as published there, since agent information can change.

Step 2: Draft a complete written notice

Because there's no form guiding you, your email has to carry all the statutory elements itself. Include: identification of the copyrighted work (with a link to your original); the URL of each infringing video; your name, address, phone number, and email; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you're the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Step 3: Sign the notice

Add your physical or electronic signature, typing your full legal name at the end of the email satisfies this. Unsigned or incomplete notices are the most common reason takedowns stall.

Step 4: Send it, and flag bulk cases

Email the notice to the agent's address from the DMCA page. If you're dealing with many videos or expect a steady stream of re-uploads, Rumble's page says to use the subject line "ONGOING DMCA" so your claims are handled as a continuing matter rather than one-off tickets.

Step 5: Keep records and follow up

Save the sent email, the list of URLs, and the date. If nothing happens within a reasonable window, send a polite follow-up referencing your original notice, persistence matters more with email-based processes.

What happens after you file

When the notice is valid, Rumble removes or disables the videos and notifies the uploader, who can respond with a counter-notification; the content may be restored unless you show you've filed a court action. Repeat infringers on DMCA-compliant platforms risk losing their accounts. Because ripped channels often reappear, keep searching for your titles, and if drafting notices and chasing re-uploads isn't how you want to spend your evenings, Rulta is a done-for-you DMCA takedown service whose team files and follows up for video creators on Rumble and across other platforms.
